Description

Dune Agadir Selva brings a compact 147mm x 147mm square gloss porcelain format with genuine graphic and texture variation across each tile, giving a wall genuine handmade character rather than a flat, uniform surface. At 9mm thick, it carries real structural substance backed by a certified breaking strength above 30 N/mm² under UNE EN ISO 10545-4, well beyond what a purely decorative thin tile would offer.

Its water absorption sits between 0.5% and 3% under UNE EN ISO 10545-3, and it passes crazing resistance testing under UNE EN ISO 10545-11 as well as resistance to thermal shock under UNE EN ISO 10545-9 — a genuine consideration for applications where the tile may see temperature swings, such as near heat sources or in variable outdoor conditions. Chemical resistance is rated GA under UNE EN ISO 10545-13, reflecting solid everyday chemical exposure resistance.

As with the rest of the Dune range, Agadir Selva carries a Class 0 slip resistance rating under UNE-EN 16165 Annex C, which should be checked against the specific application’s requirements before it’s specified for any horizontal or wet-underfoot surface. Its square format and irregular texture make it a genuinely versatile feature tile for walls seeking artisanal character.

Because its irregular texture and graphic variation are deliberate design features rather than manufacturing inconsistencies, Agadir Selva is best appreciated across a larger tiled area where the subtle differences between individual tiles compound into a genuinely rich, handcrafted-looking surface. Its compact square format also suits detailed pattern work, mosaics-style layouts, or feature strips within a larger tiling scheme.

  • Commercial and residential settings wanting certified porcelain performance

How to Apply

  1. Prepare the surface — firm, levelled, dry and clean, with moisture content under 2%.
  2. Select the correct adhesive — C1 or C2 concrete glue per the porcelain tile grade.
  3. Apply and notch the adhesive — using a notched trowel, avoiding dot or dab setting.
  4. Set with a minimum 2mm joint — using self-levelling spacers to avoid lippage.
  5. Grout once fully set — with joints clean, dry and at least 2mm deep.

Important Notes

  • Confirm the Class 0 slip rating meets the specific application’s requirement before use on a floor.
  • Test all materials and tools on a sample area before full installation.
  • Check colour, finish and thickness before installing — claims are not accepted after installation.

Frequently asked questions

What does the graphic and irregular texture variation mean?

Each tile carries subtle, deliberate variation in surface texture and pattern, giving the finished wall a handmade, artisanal character rather than a perfectly uniform, mass-produced look.

Is Agadir Selva rated for thermal shock resistance?

Yes — it passes resistance to thermal shock testing under UNE EN ISO 10545-9, a genuine consideration for applications with fluctuating temperature exposure.

What is its water absorption classification?

Between 0.5% and 3% under UNE EN ISO 10545-3, a slightly higher absorption range than the tightest porcelain classification but still suited to a broad range of applications.
