Description
Zellige walls in Moroccan courtyards are built from small glazed squares that never match exactly, and that unevenness is the point. The Agadir range from Dune carries the idea into 9mm porcelain, drawing on zellige, Berber crafts and the miscellany of the city itself. Lago, Spanish for lake, is its deep ink blue, glossed over an irregular relief in a 147x147mm square.
Behind the handmade look sit laboratory results: breaking strength above 30 N/mm², water absorption of 0.5% to 3% and a stain resistance result of 5. Its slip result is Class 0 on the UNE-EN 16165 Annex C test, so Lago is a wall tile, wet walls included.

How to Apply
- Check the substrate: Dune calls for a firm, level, clean surface under 2% moisture, with dips over 2mm levelled beforehand.
- Use C2 cementitious adhesive: Dune’s grade for porcelain; lay a trial of two or more tiles and judge the finish.
- Comb a thin bed: roughly 3mm of adhesive notched with a no. 3 trowel, seating tiles before a skin forms and pressing out hollow spots.
- Keep joints even: 2mm minimum with crosspieces, 3mm over plasterboard or severe thermal movement, self-levelling spacers, offsets of 25% or less.
- Finish the joints: grout clean, dry joints no shallower than 2mm, remove excess straight away, and choose epoxy grout where water exposure is high.
Colour and Finish
With 12 faces and graphic and shade variation on the datasheet, a Lago wall moves between lighter and inkier blue in a way a uniform glaze cannot, and the gloss pools light unevenly across the relief. Shuffle tiles from several boxes during fixing, and test grout on a few pieces, because pale and dark joints look very different. Lago sits in the square format beside other colours including Agua, Niebla, Piedra, Selva and matt Cotto Oscuro.
