Description

CRC Yellow Zinc Coating brings a satin yellow safety-colour finish together with genuine anti-corrosive performance, built from the same zinc-enriched formulation across the CRC Zinc Coating range. Anti-corrosive zinc complexes are embedded directly within the resin system, forming a quick-drying, highly protective enamel with excellent adhesion to bare metal rather than a purely cosmetic coloured spray.

Because the corrosion protection comes from within the coating itself, Yellow Zinc resists the undercutting and blistering that a standard paint system develops once corrosion establishes itself beneath the surface. For maximum protection, priming the bare metal with CRC Zinc It beforehand is recommended, with CRC Prep It available as an intermediate coat where a heavier film build is needed.

It dries fast — touch dry in 20 minutes, recoat-ready within 30, fully cured within 24 hours — applied as a single coat with no over-coating required. Its Corrosion Protection Factor of 36 delivers up to 3 years of protection before recoating under normal conditions, giving equipment marked in safety yellow genuine long-term corrosion resistance rather than needing frequent touch-ups.

How to Apply

  1. Prime if maximum protection is required — apply CRC Zinc It to the bare metal surface first.
  2. Shake the can — until the agitator ball moves freely, then for at least 1 further minute.
  3. Apply thin coats — with smooth, even strokes, holding the can approximately 25cm from the surface.
  4. Clean the valve — turn the can upside down and press the button until only pressure escapes.
  5. Allow to cure — touch dry in 20 minutes, full cure in 24 hours.
