Static discharge risk in surgical rooms, laboratories and data centres calls for a genuinely different adhesive — this one carries conductivity through the adhesive layer itself via special fibres, with a fast 0-10 minute grab time.

Description

Ultrabond Eco V4 SP Conductive is a synthetic resin-based adhesive in water dispersion, formulated with special conductive fibres that carry electrical conductivity through the adhesive layer — a genuine functional requirement rather than a general flooring adhesive feature. It’s built specifically for conductive and static-dissipative flooring in environments where a static discharge could cause explosions or disrupt sensitive electronic equipment, such as surgical rooms, chemical laboratories, data processing centres and electronics manufacturing.

Its high early grab means it’s ready for installing any type of rubber or PVC flooring after a waiting time of just 0-10 minutes at 23°C on absorbent substrates, with a maximum open time of approximately 15 minutes. Being not inflammable and very low emission (EMICODE EC1 Plus), it can be stored without special precautions despite its specialised conductive function.

Because static discharge in a sensitive environment isn’t just an inconvenience — it can trigger explosions in the presence of flammable vapours, or corrupt data and damage components in electronics manufacturing — the conductive fibre technology in Ultrabond Eco V4 SP Conductive is a genuine functional requirement rather than a marketing feature. Its high early grab and short 0-10 minute waiting time keep installation moving efficiently even with the added complexity of a conductive flooring system, which typically also involves copper strips or grounding points that need to be correctly integrated during the adhesive application.

Where to Use

  • Surgical rooms, chemical laboratories and factories
  • Areas containing sensitive electronic instruments
  • Data processing centres
  • Conductive or static-dissipative rubber, vinyl and needlepunch/carpet flooring

How to Apply

  1. Prepare the substrate — uniformly dry, absorbent, level, sound and free of contaminants and cracks.
  2. Check moisture content — with a carbide or electric hygrometer, per local regulations.
  3. Apply the adhesive — spread by trowel to the required consumption rate.
  4. Wait the correct time — allow 0-10 minutes before installing flooring, within the 15-minute maximum open time.
  5. Lay the flooring — install rubber or PVC flooring while the substrate remains absorbent.

Important Notes

  • Do not use at temperatures below +15°C or above +35°C.
  • Do not use on substrates subject to rising damp — install a vapour barrier where needed.
  • For non-absorbent surfaces, use Adesilex G19 Conductive instead.

Frequently asked questions

What is conductive flooring adhesive used for?

Bonding conductive vinyl, static-dissipative flooring, conductive rubber floors and conductive carpet in areas where static electricity discharges could cause explosions or disturb electrical and electronic equipment — surgical rooms, chemical laboratories, factories and data processing centres.

How is Ultrabond Eco V4SP Conductive different from a standard flooring adhesive?

It contains special fibres that ensure electrical conductivity through the adhesive layer itself, which a standard flooring adhesive doesn’t provide — this is essential for the conductive flooring system to actually function as designed.

What if the substrate is non-absorbent?

For conductive flooring that doesn’t allow vapour transmission on non-absorbent surfaces, use Adesilex G19 Conductive instead.
