Roberts R6355 Crosslinking PVA Adhesive
– 500ml, 5 and 20 Litres
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Roberts R6355 is a high solids water based one part crosslinking PVA which
meets the D3/BS EN204specification. It is designed to bond a wide range of timbers,
MDF, particle board and ply wood and provides rapid high strength bonds resistant to
heat and moisture. Full cure within 5-7 days.
Roberts R6355 is an ideal product for bonding tongue and groove solid timber and
laminated flooring substrates giving tough, flexible permanent bonding.
TYPICAL PROPERTIES:
- Appearance: White
- Dry Film: Translucent
- Base: Water Based Synthetic Emulsion
- Solids: 50%
- Viscosity: 8,000cps
- Clean Up: Warm Soapy Water
SURFACE PREPARATION:
- Surfaces must be sound, clean, dry, and free from oil, wax, dust and
other foreign materials that may affect adhesion. - Ensure maximum contact between surfaces for optimum bond strength.
APPLICATION:
- Roberts R6355 may be applied by squeeze bottle, brush or roller.
- The open time can vary depending upon temperature, humidity, the type of
timber and the amount of applied adhesive. - At 20°C, the open time can be up to 20 minutes.
- Bonds should be assembled within a few minutes and then tightly clamped
or pressed until the adhesive has set. - Wipe off adhesive squeeze out immediately after assembly with a dry or
slightly damp cloth. - Assemblies are best left overnight before moving.
- Maximum bond strength is achieved within 48 Hours.
CLEAN UP:
- Clean tools immediately after use with warm soapy water.
- Dried adhesive may be cleaned off using warm soapy water or alternatively please use RLA Handy Wipes.
PACKAGING:
- 500ml, 5 Litre and 20 litre Containers
SHELF LIFE/STORAGE:
- 12 months when stored in original unopened packaging
- Shall be stored in a dry area off the ground.
NOTES AND PRECAUTIONS:
- Drying times can be extended when applied in cold ambient temperatures.
- Don’t allow the adhesive to skin over or dry out, it is important the
timber being bonded is placed into the Wet film of adhesive

- Product is classified as NON-DANGEROUS GOODS according to the WHS Regulations and the ADG Code.
FIRST AID:
- In use, please ensure that Occupational Health and Safety requirements
are observed. - Eyes: Irrigate with water for 10 minutes and see a doctor.
- Skin: Wash off with warm water and soap.
- If swallowed, give plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting.
- Seek medical attention.
