Description
Measured at 70x280mm and 9mm thick, Dune Agadir Ivory is a gloss porcelain subway tile rated for walls: its datasheet gives a Class 0 slip result under UNE-EN 16165 Annex C, water absorption of more than 0.5% and no more than 3%, and breaking strength over 30 N/mm².
Ivory is a pale cream with a faint grey cast, and one of the newer colours on Dune‘s Agadir sheet. It carries the irregular relief the range takes from zellige, so even a light, calm wall gains depth once the gloss catches the light.

Where to Use

How to Apply
- Level and dry the wall: the base should be solid, clean and crack free, flat to within 2mm and holding less than 2% moisture.
- Bond with C2: Dune recommends C2 cementitious adhesive for porcelain tiles like Ivory, with a test of two tiles before the full job.
- Trowel and place: rake an adhesive layer of about 3mm with a no. 3 notched trowel, place tiles while it is fresh, then press firmly, with no dot and dab setting.
- Space it out: joints of 2mm minimum, 3mm on plasterboard, self levelling spacers throughout, and a running bond offset kept within 25%.
- Finish the joints: grout clean, dry joints at least 2mm deep with a rubber float and wash the face straight away with a neutral pH product.
Colour and Finish
Across its 21 faces Ivory moves between soft cream and light warm grey, with glaze that looks glossier where it pools in the texture. Mix from several boxes to keep the wall balanced. Dark grout will outline every tile, so test grout colour on a few pieces first. For contrast in this subway size, Lago brings a deep blue and Arena a warmer sand.
Important Notes
- Ivory is not slip rated for wet floors (Class 0), and Dune’s use key marks shower floors and outdoor floors as unsuitable.
- Batches differ in shade, so buy the whole quantity at once from one batch.
