Description
Not every textured wall needs a bright colour. Piedra, Spanish for stone, is the quiet, pale cool grey of the Agadir collection by Dune, and it lets the surface do the work: an irregular relief under a gloss glaze, printed across 12 faces, in a 147x147mm square of 9mm porcelain.
The range is Dune’s reading of the Moroccan city of Agadir, with zellige and Berber crafts behind it, presented for interiors and exteriors. For this gloss colour the datasheet lists breaking strength over 30 N/mm² and a stain resistance result of 5. Its Class 0 result on the UNE-EN 16165 Annex C slip test makes Piedra a wall tile.

How to Apply
- Get the background right: a firm, flat, clean, dry wall under 2% moisture, cracks repaired and variation over 2mm levelled.
- Pick the adhesive: C2 cementitious adhesive, Dune’s choice for porcelain; check a test of at least two tiles.
- Bed each tile: rake about 3mm of adhesive with a no. 3 notched trowel and set tiles before it skins; Dune advises against dot and dab.
- Control joints and lippage: 2mm minimum, 3mm with severe thermal expansion, self-levelling spacers, offsets no greater than 25%.
- Grout and maintain: use a flat rubber float on clean joints 2mm deep or more, wash residue off before it sets, then clean only with pH neutral products.
Colour and Finish
Shade and graphic variation across 12 faces mean the grey shifts slightly and the pattern changes from tile to tile, while the irregular texture softens reflections on the gloss. Pull tiles from several boxes to spread the variation. A mid grey grout blends the squares; white grout lifts the grid. Other square colours include Agua, Lago, Niebla, Selva and matt Cotto Oscuro, and Piedra is a calm partner to the stronger ones.

- Order every tile for the job from one batch, as shade can vary between batches.
- Results are Dune’s published datasheet values; Dune notes specifications can be modified.
- Check that colour, finish and thickness are correct before installing, because claims are not accepted after fixing.
- Walls only at Class 0: keep it away from wet or shower floors and ramps, and from pool floors or steps, which Dune restricts to Class 3.
