Description
Most of the Agadir squares Multifors stocks are gloss wall tiles. Cotto Oscuro is the exception: a matt, warm sandy tan whose datasheet puts it in a different performance bracket. Dune makes it as a 147x147mm square in 9mm porcelain, with an uneven relief that follows the range’s zellige and Berber craft cues.
Water absorption is 0.5% or less, against 0.5% to 3% for the gloss colours, and breaking strength is above 35 N/mm². Its UNE-EN 16165 Annex C slip result is Class 2, so Cotto Oscuro can be considered for floors as well as walls. Confirm the slip requirement for the specific area, ideally with your specifier, particularly for wet, outdoor or commercial floors.

How to Apply
- Prepare the base: sound, even and dry, with moisture under 2%, cracks repaired and any irregularity above 2mm levelled.
- Select C2 adhesive: the Dune sheet’s grade for porcelain; fix a trial of at least two tiles before carrying on.
- Notch and place: spread about 3mm, notch with a no. 3 trowel, lay tiles while the adhesive is fresh and press each one firmly into the bed.
- Joint and level: 2mm or more, 3mm where the base is unstable, self-levelling spacers, and offsets under 25%.
- Grout and clean: grout clean, dry joints a minimum of 2mm deep, lift residue before it hardens, and clean with pH neutral products, never abrasives.
Colour and Finish
The matt surface takes the shine out of the irregular Agadir relief, so texture shows as soft shadow rather than reflection. With 12 faces and shade and graphic variation, the tan varies between lighter and deeper pieces, so mix boxes as you lay. It also comes in the Agadir 7x28cm subway format; gloss square colours include Agua, Lago, Niebla, Piedra and Selva.
