Description
Agua is Spanish for water, and this Agadir colour is a pale, watery blue green that moves between lighter and deeper tones across a wall. From Dune, Spain, it is a 9mm porcelain square of 147x147mm, its gloss glaze laid over an irregular relief so light catches each tile differently. The range draws on Moroccan zellige and Berber crafts for vibrant, unshaded colour.
Dune’s datasheet gives water absorption of 0.5% to 3% and breaking strength above 30 N/mm², with frost, crazing and thermal shock results that comply. Agua tests Class 0 for slip (UNE-EN 16165 Annex C), which makes it a wall tile.

How to Apply
- Prepare the wall: it needs to be solid, flat, dry and free of dust, with under 2% moisture and any unevenness beyond 2mm levelled.
- Choose a C2 adhesive: Dune specifies C2 cementitious adhesive for porcelain; test fix at least two pieces first.
- Spread and set: working up from the bottom, apply roughly 3mm, notch with a no. 3 trowel and bed each square before it skins; no dot or dab.
- Space the joints: at least 2mm, or 3mm on plasterboard and thermally unstable walls, using self-levelling spacers and no offset over 25%.
- Grout and clean: pack grout into joints that are dry, clean and 2mm deep or more, sponge the face before it dries, and clean with pH neutral products.
Colour and Finish
Dune prints Agua with 12 faces and flags both shade and graphic variation, so neighbouring tiles rarely look alike, and the irregular surface makes the gloss read as rippled rather than mirror flat. Draw from several open boxes, and trial the grout shade first. Other Agadir square colours include Lago, Niebla, Piedra, Selva and a matt Cotto Oscuro.
