Description
Stacked vertically, each 280mm length of Dune Agadir Piedra emphasises height; laid horizontally in stack bond, the same tile stretches a narrow wall. This cool grey gloss subway tile is 70x280mm (7x28cm) and 9mm thick, porcelain made by Dune in Spain for Agadir, a series shaped by the Moroccan city’s zellige and Berber craft. Piedra is Spanish for stone.
Its datasheet shows water absorption of 0.5% < E ≤ 3% under UNE EN ISO 10545-3, breaking strength over 30 N/mm² and compliant crazing, frost and thermal shock results. At Class 0 for slip under UNE-EN 16165 Annex C, Piedra suits bathroom walls, splashbacks and feature panels, not wet floors.

How to Apply
- Plan the direction: choose vertical or horizontal stacking; keep any stagger within Dune’s 25% maximum offset.
- Make the wall sound: firm, level, dry, clean, under 2% moisture, with irregularities over 2mm levelled.
- Bed each tile: spread roughly 3mm of C2 cementitious adhesive, notch with a No. 3 trowel and position tiles before it skins. No dab fixing.
- Align with spacers: joints of 2mm at least, 3mm on plasterboard, with self-levelling spacers keeping long edges level.
- Grout the joints: spread grout with a rubber trowel into clean, dry joints and sponge off excess immediately, without abrasives.
Colour and Finish
Piedra’s grey shifts subtly across 21 faces, and the textured surface under the gloss reflects light at slightly different angles on each tile. Run vertically, that variation gives a wall a quiet, handmade rhythm; alternate between open boxes while fixing. Niebla and Noche pair well with it; other colours in the range include Arena, Lago and Musgo in gloss and Cotto Oscuro in matt.
