How To Use

1. TEST STAIN PROOF Waterbased Penetrating Sealer ON A SMALL AREA FIRST and allow a 24-hour cure time to determine the ease of application and desired results.
2. Apply when surface temperature is between 40 – 95°F (5 – 35°C). Ensure surfaces to be treated are clean, dry and free of residues.
3. Evenly saturate the surface with Stain Proof Waterbased Penetrating Sealer using a lamb’s wool applicator, low-pressure pump sprayer or roller
4. Allow the sealer to penetrate for approximately 10 minutes, but before the sealer dries, thoroughly wipe off all excess from the surface with clean, dry, white cloths/towels. When sealing a large area, work in smaller sections so the excess can be easily removed before it dries. Avoid contact with surrounding areas. Very absorbent surfaces may need a second coat. Apply a second coat 30 minutes after first coat, let dwell for approximately 10 minutes, then remove ALL excess.
5. Total application rate is approximately 1 quart per 40 to 120 sq.ft. or 1L per 4 to 12 sqm (1 gallon per 160 to 480 sq.ft. or 3.79L per 16 to 48 sqm) depending on surface absorption. Avoid moisture contact with the surface for 12 hours after application. See coverage guide on our website
6. Clean equipment with water.
Note: Stain Proof Waterbased Penetrating Sealer will not prevent etching from acidic liquids, or surface wear and may lighten or darken some surfaces. Clean sealed surfaces only with a pH balanced stone cleaner such as Stain-Proof Countertop or Floor Cleaner or Stain-Proof Peroxide Cleaner for heavy duty cleaning. Harsh alkaline chemicals, including bleach, will break down sealer.

Advanced Tips

1. TESTING
The product will reach full cure and should only be tested after 24 hours cure time.
a. There is a significant increase in stain repellence when the product is allowed to reach full cure.
b. STAIN PROOF Waterbased Penetrating Sealer is a highly modified fluorocarbon sealer – the molecules are approximately 3 to 4 times smaller than a typical fluorocarbon sealer, and free of PFOAs.
2. APPLYING TO HIGHLY POROUS SURFACES.
Highly porous surfaces, such as sandstone and the more porous types of limestone, may require 2 coats. It is important to apply the second coat while the first coat is still a little damp. If the first coat has dried too much, it will start to repel the second coat and prevent it from penetrating and adherining.
3. STAIN PROOF Waterbased Penetrating Sealer is an excellent pre sealer and grout release for surfaces. If using as a grout release, wait at least 2 hours before grouting.

Storage

Store STAIN PROOF Paver Enhancing Sealer in a well-ventilated place and locked up. Keep container tightly closed. IN CASE OF FIRE: Use alcohol resistant foam or normal protein foam for extinction.

Dispose of STAIN PROOF Paver Enhancing Sealer contents in accordance with applicable local/ national/regional/international regulations.

First Aid
If exposed or concerned get medical advice.
IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water.
IF INHALED: If breathing is difficult, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. If breathing has stopped give artificial respiration.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
