Environex Universal Stoneseal Sealer is a water based emulsion of acrylic resins used for the sealing of walls and floors against penetration of stains, water, oils and greases. UNIVERSAL STONESEAL is a one-part resin system with integral components activated by evaporation of moisture and exposure to light.

Environex Universal Stoneseal Sealer – the ultimate in user friendly sealers. UNIVERSAL STONESEAL has been developed as a water based surface sealer for use on most porous surfaces such as concrete or clay pavers, sandstone, limestone, travertine or reconstituted products. It has been developed to avoid the strong odours associated with solvent based sealers.

Environex Universal Stoneseal Sealer will protect against most common household spills. Some colour change may occur with the use of this product. A small test area is recommended.

Environex Universal Stoneseal Sealer finds its main use in sealing of sandstone blockwork, brickwork and stone walls and floors, where a high gloss and wet look associated with solvent based sealers is not desired. However, it can be effectively used in protection of:-

a) Concrete and brick paving areas.
b) Masonry walls where penetration of moisture is a problem.
c) Stone surfaces where damage by oils, grease and the occasional spillage of petrol needs to be prevented.

Environex Universal Stoneseal Sealer can be used both internally and externally and is not subject to yellowing.

 

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Ensure the area to be sealed is clean and dry. Newly laid surfaces should be left to dry for a minimum of 48 hours prior to sealing. Using a sprayer or a lambswool applicator, apply one coat of UNIVERSAL STONESEAL SEALER ensuring there are no pools or puddles. These should be wiped out as you go. Allow the first coat to totally dry over a 2-3 hour period before applying a second coat. Allow overnight for final curing before using the surface. Do not apply to wet surfaces or surfaces that are over 30 degrees Celsius or under 10 degrees Celsius.

 

COVERAGE

Apply UNIVERSAL STONESEAL SEALER to clean stone at the rate of 100-250 mL per square metre per coat with two to three coats being recommended to ensure saturation of surface. For high-density stone surfaces, UNIVERSAL STONESEAL SEALER may be diluted with water at the rate of no more than 50:50, with the number of coats of the diluted product adjusted accordingly to ensure saturation of the surface.

 

CLEANUP

Cleanup is in water.

 

MAINTENANCE

Paving sealed with UNIVERSAL STONESEAL SEALER should be routinely cleaned using ENVIRONEX REFRESH or MAESTRO if there is a moss or mould problem.
RECOATING should be done every 2-3 years.
This will be necessary more often in high traffic areas.
Note: UNIVERSAL STONESEAL SEALER may be used both internally and externally, however, when used externally UNIVERSAL STONESEAL SEALER may turn milky under prolonged exposure to moisture or rain. This is a temporary effect and will disappear after the surface moisture has evaporated.
UNIVERSAL STONESEAL SEALER should be coated with ENDURE for commercial and kitchen areas where penetration of greases and fats is a problem.

 

CAUTION

Ensure the temperature of the surface being treated is higher than 13 C. Ensure humidity is less then 85%. Temperatures lower then this will prevent coalescence of resin system and resin film will stay milky or turn powdery. Refer to manufacturer to rectify.
