VibraMat Acoustic Underlay 10mm is a scientifically tested and proven acoustic underlay specially designed to help minimise the transfer of floor impact sounds. It is available in a range of thicknesses to suit your floor level ‘matching’ requirements, and an easy-to-handle tile size of 1.1 metres by 1.1 metres. Each tile covers 1.21 square metres.
Laid beneath your selected flooring type, VibraMat is most effective in situations involving (but by no means limited to) concrete slab floors. It can be laid over timber floors just as well as over concrete floors.
VibraMat Acoustic Underlay 10mm can be laid beneath both Floor Tiles and Flooring. When laid beneath Floor Tiles, there are adhesive and waterproofing recommendations – depending on whether the situation is a dry area or wet area. When laid beneath Flooring, there are further recommendations depending on the flooring type and the preferred installation method.

General Description
VibraMat Acoustic Underlay 10mm is specifically designed to be used under tiles and timber floors in high rise buildings for the purpose of reducing footfall and impact noises. The way a resilient underlay like VibraMat works, is by absorbing (and to a certain extent reflecting) as much impact noise as possible before allowing the energy to reach the structure of the building. This is what acoustic engineers often refer to as ‘impact isolation’.
The raw materials used in making VibraMat come from either recycling old tyres, or collecting waste rubber in the form of off-cuts from shoe factories etc.
Distinct from other manufacturers of Acoustic Underlay, VibraMat comes in flat sheets measuring precisely 1.1m x 1.1m for much easier installation compared to rolled underlay.
Composition
100% Rubber
VibraMat Acoustic Underlay 10mm is made from Recycled Tyres and Waste Rubber. They are firstly granulated, sieved to the correct granule size and type before being blended with a water resistant PU polymer. It is then pressed to the correct density and sliced to the required thickness.
Visual Description
The surface texture is one of very fine granules of rubber bonded together to form a flat sheet.
The colour can vary, but it is mostly black with speckles of coloured granules from the waste rubber component.
Packaging
VibraMat Acoustic Underlay 10mm comes in pallets that allow every sheet of material to sit flat for the ease of installation. The pallets are then strapped firmly for safe and neat transportation. They can be stacked several pallets high during warehousing (please check with local safety restriction on stacking of pallets).

Warranty
