Product description
Soudal Fill and Paint Gap Filler is a high-quality, plasto-elastic one-component joint sealant based on acrylic dispersions.
Properties
• Very easy to apply
• Colourfast and waterproof after curing
• Can be painted over after curing
• Very good adhesion on many porous surfaces and aluminium
Applications
• Joints on window sills, between plinths and walls, between masonry
• Joints with movement till max. 10%
• Filling of cracks in concrete and plasterwork.

Shelf life
At least 12 months in unopened packaging in a dry storage place at temperatures between +5 °C and +25 °C. Protect against frost.
Substrates
Substrates: On most porous building surfaces, on aluminium.
Nature: clean, free of dust and grease.
Surface preparation: Highly porous surfaces should be primed with diluted Soudal Fill and Paint Gap Filler ( 1 part Soudal Fill and Paint Gap Filler + 2 parts water).
We recommend a preliminary adhesion test on every surface.
Joint dimensions
Min. width for joints: 1 mm
Max. width for joints: 10 mm
Min. depth for joints: 5 mm
Recommendation sealing jobs: joint width = joint depth. Use PE backer rods before applying the sealant in large joints to avoid 3- point adhesion.
Application method
Do not apply when rain or frost is imminent during curing process.
Application method: With manual- or pneumatic caulking gun. Finish with spatula or filling knife.
Cleaning: Before curing, Soudal Fill and Paint Gap Filler can be removed with water from tiles and tools. Cured sealant must be removed mechanically.
Finishing: With a soapy solution or Soudal Finishing Solution before skinning.
Repair: With the same material

Take the usual labour hygiene into account. Consult the packaging label for more information.
Remarks
• Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.
• Paintable with most paints.
• The paint must be sufficiently elastic to allow application on a plasto-elastic sealant.
• Given the great diversity in available paints it is recommended to do a compatibility test prior to application.
