Sika Lanko 751 Lankolatex SBR Latex Additive
DESCRIPTION:
LANKO 751 Lankolatex SBR is a flexible SBR additive designed for use with Lanko, Davco and general mortar systems. LANKO 751 Lankolatex SBR provides improved
adhesive and compressive strength, water resistance and flexibility. It can also improve workability to make mortars easier to mix and place.
USES:
- LANKO 751 Lankolatex SBR may be used as an additive with Lanko cement based technical mortars, in particular mortars for screeding, rendering, patching and repair.
- LANKO 751 Lankolatex SBR can be used in conjunction with neat cement as a bonding coat prior to the application of any mortar system.
- LANKO 751 Lankolatex SBR can also be used as an additive for any of Davco’s range of cement based tile adhesives and grouts.

APPLICATION:
Substrate Preparation:
- Surfaces, must be dry, structurally sound, clean, free of dust,dirt, wax, oil, grease, asphalt, mastic, latex compounds, adhesives, paint, gypsum-based products and other contaminants.
- Ensure all release agents are removed from surface of concrete, especially tilt-up slabs.
- Painted surfaces should be scabbled to expose at least 80% of the original surface.
- Very porous surfaces must be primed with LANKO 751 Lankolatex SBR as per instructions below.
- New concrete must be allowed to cure for six weeks and have a wood float finish.
- Steel trowel finished concrete must be acid etched or wire brushed prior to tiling.
- Old concrete and rendered surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned prior to tiling.
- Newly rendered surfaces must be allowed to cure for at least 7 days.
Mixing:
Rendering Mix:
- 1 part LANKO 751 Lankolatex SBR • 4 parts water
- 3:1 sand/cement mix
- Apply with a flat trowel onto the surface to be rendered.
Priming and Sealing Mix:
- 1 part LANKO 751 Lankolatex SBR
- 3 parts water
- Apply with a broom/brush onto the floor or wall.
Concrete Patching Mix:
- 1 part LANKO 751 Lankolatex SBR • 4 parts water
- 3:1 sand/cement mix
- Apply with a flat trowel or spatula to patch holes or depressions in concrete or rendered surfaces after priming.
Joinery:
- Neat LANKO 751 Lankolatex SBR can be used to bond timber to timber.
- Apply with a brush or roller.
Application:
- Refer to individual mortar datasheets for details on application techniques.
Cleaning of Equipment:
- Clean up tools and equipment with water while LANKO 751 Lankolatex SBR is still wet.
