Description
DESCRIPTION:
Lanko 753 Acrylic Additive is a flexible additive designed for use with Lanko mortar systems. Lanko 753 Acrylic Additive will improve the strength, increase the adhesion, water resistance and flexibility of any mortar system to which it is added.
• Deeply contaminated substrates must be abraded to a clean, sound surface or some substrates can be prepared with the use of Davco Ultrabond – a bonding coat for contaminated surfaces. Contact the Lanko Technical Advisory Line for further details on the suitability of Ultrabond over different contaminants.
• Rendered surfaces must be allowed to cure for at least 7 days.
• Old concrete and rendered surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned prior to using Lanko 753 Acrylic Additive.
• Ensure release agents are removed from cement surfaces, especially tilt- up slabs.
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS:
• Lanko 753 Acrylic Additive needs to be diluted prior to use. Under most circumstances, it is recommended to dilute Lanko 753 Acrylic Additive 1 part with 2 parts water. This is then mixed and gauged, according to the specific mortar being used – refer to individual products for exact mix details.
APPLICATION TECHNIQUES:
• Refer to individual mortar datasheets for details on application techniques.
COVERAGE:
1 part of Lanko 753 Acrylic Additive is diluted with 2 parts of water for most applications. Refer to individual products for specific coverage details.
CLEAN-UP INSTRUCTIONS:
• Excess Lanko 753 Acrylic Additive and tools can be cleaned with water prior to drying.
PRECAUTIONS:
• Do not allow the product to freeze.
• Do not use the product in temperatures below 5oC or above
35oC.
• Not to be used over non-porous
surfaces, such as power trowelled or steel floated concrete. Refer to surface preparation section for instructions.
USES:
• Lanko 753 Acrylic Additive may be used as an additive with Lanko Cement based technical mortars, in particular mortars for floor levelling, screeding, rendering, patching and repair.
• Lanko 753 Acrylic Additive can be used in conjunction with neat cement as a bonding coat prior to the application of any mortar system.
• Lanko 753 Acrylic Additive can also be used as an additive for any of Davco’s range of ceramic tile adhesives and grouts.
• Lanko 753 Acrylic Additive will not affect the flow characteristics of mortar products and is UV stable.
SURFACE PREPARATION:
• Surfaces, must be dry, structurally sound, clean, free of dust, dirt, wax, oil, grease, asphalt, mastic, latex compounds, adhesives, paint, gypsum based products, and other contaminants.
• All concrete sub-floors must be fully cured and dry, in accordance with AS1884-1985 (maximum moisture content 5.5% or 70% humidity). They must be free of laitance, loose or deteriorated concrete, curing or form release agents, other contaminants and have a wood float finish. For sub- floors with a high moisture content or subject to rising damp, apply Lanko 531 Epoxy Moisture Barrier. Refer to datasheet for specific instructions.
• Non-porous surfaces, such as power trowelled or steel floated concrete, must be primed with Lanko 531 Epoxy Moisture Barrier or Davco Ultrabond. Alternatively, they can be acid etched or mechanically abraded.
• Do not use on highly porous slabs, or in hot windy conditions without prior wetting down the slab – see application instructions for the individual mortar product for specific application information.
