SAS Tradies Choice FS Screed (Fast Setting) – 20kg
2 Hour Initial Set* and up to 200mm Build.
SAS Tradies Choice FS Screed is a “Fast Setting” high-build, modified cementitious screed for use with SAS Waterproofing Membranes and Tile Adhesives. SAS Tradies Choice FS Screed can be used for Internal and External applications, but not for immersed situations such as swimming pools and spas etc.
It is suitable for laying over Concrete floors and Fibre-Cement Sheet substrates prior to tiling.
SUB-FLOOR PREPARATION
The surface must be clean, dry, firm and free of dust, oil, grease, wax and curing compounds.
The substrate must be installed according to the relevant standards and manufacturer recommendations.
All porous surfaces must be primed with SAS Tradies Choice Master Primer.
For non-porous surfaces such as existing tiles, adhesives must be primed using SAS Tradies Choice Master Primer neat.

MIXING
Mix 2 – 2.5 Litres of water to 20kg of SAS Tradies Choice FS Screed.
Mix with a mixing paddle until a creamy consistency is achieved and the
powder is free of lumps.
Allow the mixture to stand for 3 minutes, remix and use the screed.
Note: Do not over-water as this will promote bleed and separation with a reduction in bond and strength.
APPLICATION
Spread SAS Tradies Choice FS Screed to the primed substrate using a screed bar or trowel to give the required thickness.
The minimum thickness is 15mm for bonded screeds or external areas.
Minimum thickness should be 25mm on concrete or 35mm on F/C sheet. Maximum thickness applied in any one application can be up to 200mm.Tradies Choice FS Screed has a work time of approximately 30 minutes at 23ºC
MOVEMENT JOINTS
Movement joints must be in accordance with Australian Standards AS 3958.1-2007
APPLICATION TEMPERATURE
Do not apply Tradies Choice FS Screed below 5ºC and above 40ºC
COVERAGE
1 20kg Bag of SAS Tradies Choice FS Screed will cover approximately 0.5 m2 at 25mm in thickness.
Volume calculations should be based on 1 bag delivering 1.25m2 for every 10mm of screed depth.
WORK TIME
SAS Tradies Choice FS SCreed is workable for 25minutes @ 23ºC
