SAS Tradies Choice FCM Waterproofer – 15Kg Pail

SAS Tradies Choice FCM Waterproofer is a Blue-coloured Class III Fibre-reinforced SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) waterproofing membrane that has been designed for a range of waterproofing applications for under-tile use.

SAS Tradies Choice Master FCM Waterproofer can be used for wet areas, balconies and deck areas that are going to be tiled and not left exposed.
It provides excellent adhesion to concrete, masonry, renders and internal cement sheeting and plaster board sheeting.
For external sheeting such as Scyon, the substrate must be primed with SAS Tradies Choice moisture Barrier.

CLASSIFICATION

Meets the requirements of:
• AS 4858:2004 wet area membranes as a Class III
• AS 3740: 2004 waterproofing of wet areas within residential buildings
• AS 4654.1-2012 waterproofing membrane for external above ground use.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface must be clean , dry and free of dust oil, grease, wax and curing compounds.
The substrate must be installed according to the relevant standards and manufacturer recommendations.
All porous surfaces must be primed with SAS Master primer. For non porous substrates such as external cement sheeting e.g. Scyon it must be primed with Tradies Choice Moisture Barrier.
As a wet area membrane requires a suitable bond breaker at all substrate junctions. Please use Tradies Choice FC Polyurethane sausage.

MOVEMENT JOINTS

Movement joints must be in accordance with Australian Standard AS 3958

DRYING TIME

SAS Tradies Choice FCM Waterproofer is not designed for use as an exposed membrane.
Recoat 1 hour @ 23°C
Dry Film 3 hours @ 23°C
Tiling – Toppings 4 hours @ 23° C
Information based normal ambient temperatures of 23°C and 50% RH
*Temperature , humidity and porosity will vary dry times

COVERAGE

A minimum of 2 coats is recommended to be applied at a total minimum coverage of 1.5 Litres / m2 .
1mm dry film thickness is recommended for all applications wall and floor.

PACKAGING

SAS Tradies Choice FCM Waterproofer is available in a 15Kg Pail.

APPLICATION

• Waterproofing should be applied in accordance with the Australian Standards AS 4858 : 2004
• All porous surfaces must be primed with SAS Tradies Choice Master primer.
• Non porous substrates such as external cement sheeting (e.g. Scyon) must be primed with SAS Tradies Choice Moisture Barrier.
• When used as a wet area membrane SAS Tradies Choice FCM Waterproofer requires a suitable bond breaker at all
substrate junctions – please use SAS Tradies Choice FC Polyurethane sausage.
• For all other applications not mentioned please contact the SAS Technical team.
• Note: Protect waterproofing from other trades and weather until cured.
• A minimum of 2 coats is recommended to be applied at a total minimum coverage of 1.5 Litres /m2.
• SAS Tradies Choice FCM Waterproofer must be applied to achieve a minimum of 1mm Dry film thickness to ensure that the membrane will perform as
specified.

PRECAUTIONS

• SAS Tradies Choice FCM Waterproofer CAN NOT be applied in temperatures above 35°C or below 5 °C
• SAS Tradies Choice FCM Waterproofer CAN NOT be used in immersed situations like swimming pools spas etc.
• SAS Tradies Choice FCM Waterproofer CAN NOT. be used for hydrostatic pressure e.g. rising damp contact the SAS Technical Team for further information.
