INTENDED USES

Intended uses
Prepara Fondo EVO is used to improve the adhesion of adhesives, self-levellers, skim coats and cement plasters on medium absorbency and non-absorbent substrates such as concrete, fibre cement panels, metal, PVC, linoleum, wood, ceramic and porcelain tiles, stoneware and natural stones.

PRE-INSTALLATION

The substrates must be clean, solid, compact, crack-free, properly cured and without rising damp.
The surfaces on which Prepara Fondo EVO is applied must be free of oil and grease or any other substance that may compromise adhesion.
Remove all traces of dirt and properly degrease using specific detergents such as Litoscrub EVO.
Any cracks must be repaired with Multifondo EVO, sprinkling the fresh surface with sand or dried quartz with granulometry 0.4-1 mm.
In any case, the respective technical data sheets must be consulted for correct use of the indicated products.

MIX RATIO

Ready-to-use product without the need for any preparation.
In any case, once the container has been opened, we recommend mixing the product briefly, even manually, with a steel trowel or spatula.

APPLICATION

The product is applied in a single coat directly onto the substrate to be treated using a long pile roller.
During application, ensure the product is evenly spread onto the surface.
After the drying time (about 1 hours at a temperature of +23°C), the product is completely dry and characterised by a rough surface, which facilitates the application of cementitious products, guaranteeing a high level of adhesion.
In the case of complex applications requiring the development of a reinforced and completely uniform covering, the product can be applied using a PVC round-edged trowel (art. 203A0001), embedding the alkali-resistant glass-fibre reinforcing mesh, size 2×2 mm – basis weight: 75 g/m2 (art. RTRN0050).

WARNINGS

Spread the product at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C inclusive
Since the product is based on synthetic resins in aqueous dispersion, it must be protected against frost. When packages are transferred and stored in a warehouse, the temperature must not fall below +5°C so as not to compromise the quality of the product
Do not add lime, cement or other foreign materials to the product
Do not use the product on damp surfaces or surfaces subject to rising damp
In warm climates, keep the packaged product in a cool and dry place away from the sun before use
Do not use the product to install ceramics on surfaces in continuous contact with water such as tanks, swimming
pools, etc.
