The matt UV-lacquered finish and textured surface are chosen specifically to read as an authentic solid-oak feel rather than the flatter, glossier look some engineered products default to.
Unlike a click-lock floating system, boards join with a tongue-and-groove glue system, which generally gives a tighter, more rigid joint once fully cured, at the cost of a more involved installation than a snap-together floor.
