Davco Davelastic

Davco Davelastic is a concentrated tile adhesive additive designed to increase flexibility, strength and water resistance of cement-based products. Suitable for interior and exterior applications.

WHERE TO USE

Areas:

Davco Davelastic is suitable for interior and exterior applications. Being an acrylic polymer creates water resistance in mortars, which enables them to be used in wet areas including concrete swimming pools, spas and external façades.

VOC Content: Low VOC – 1g/L (SCAQMD method 304-91)

MIX PREPARATION

Additive Mix Process:

Davco Davelastic must be diluted with clean, potable water at a ratio of 1 to 1 for use as an additive in cement based tile adhesives.

Tile Adhesive Mix Process:

1. Add the required amount of Davco Davelastic and water mixture into a clean bucket.

2. Slowly add the powder to the liquid while mixing with a mixing paddle attached to a drill. Always add the powder to the liquid. Do not mix by hand.

3. Continue to mix for several minutes until a creamy consistency is achieved, free of lumps of powder.

4. Allow mixture to stand for 5 minutes, remix then use the adhesive.

APPLICATION

Tiling:

• The tile adhesive should be applied as per the instructions for the adhesive, including all surface preparation

Note: Davco Davelastic will increase the tackiness of the adhesive as well as reduce the pot life, open time and adjustment time

Clean-up & Return to Service:

• Clean tools and equipment with water before the adhesive dries

Safety:

• It is recommended that applicators wear PVC or similar gloves and safety goggles while handling this product. If eye contact occurs, rinse with cool water. If ingested get immediate medical assistance

• Keep out of reach of children

Specific:

• Davelastic will increase the tackiness of the adhesive as well as reduce the pot life, open time and adjustment time
