Davco Ceramaflex Tile Adhesive

Davco Ceramaflex Tile Adhesive is a flexible, thick or thin bed, off white, rubber modified cement-based adhesive. Designed for use on flexible and rigid substrates. Suitable for interior and exterior applications. Commercial and domestic walls and floors.

WHERE TO USE Davco Ceramaflex Tile Adhesive

Surfaces

Most common substrates-concrete, cement renders, rendered brickwork and blockwork, plasterboard, fibre cement sheet, compatible waterproofing membranes, timber floors (with fibre cement sheet underlay installed as stated in AS3958), screed (cured for 24 hours).

Tiles

Ideal for porcelain, ceramic, mosaic, terracotta, slate and quarry tiles. Not suitable for natural stones or green marble.

Areas

Commercial and domestic walls and floors including living areas, dining areas, walkways, office space, external verandahs and decks.

Coverage

20kg bag of Davco Ceramaflex covers approximately 14m2 (based on a 6mm notch trowel)

Set Time

24 hours before grouting

Clean-up & Return to Service

• Clean tools and equipment with water before the adhesive dries

• Allow product to set before grouting

• Allow product to set firmly before return to service Note: Setting times of adhesive is affected by site conditions, climate and could be faster or slower than specified

Safety

• It is recommended that applicators wear PVC or similar gloves and safety goggles while handling this product.

• If eye contact occurs, rinse with cool water

• If ingested get immediate medical assistance

• Keep out of reach of children

General

• Do not apply in temperatures above 35ºC or below 5ºC

• In cool and / or humid conditions, allow longer setting times

• Do not allow the adhesive to skin prior to laying the tiles. If the adhesive skins remove and dispose of it, then re-apply fresh adhesive

Specific

• Not suitable for fixing tiles directly onto timber floors

• Not suitable for submerged areas, such as swimming pools and spas

• When using Ceramaflex externally or in wet areas ensure adequate drainage exists, so that water does not pond on the tile surface
