Laminate Flooring
Laminate Flooring is a ‘fused together’ multi-layer synthetic flooring product. Hence the term ‘laminate’ flooring. It achieves the wood appearance in much the same way as porcelain tiles, in that a photographic appliqué layer is used and set over the surface of the laminate ‘base’, which is in turn covered by a protective ‘wearing layer’. It is highly resistant to wearing, scratching and moisture, though like all timber-based products, any prolonged or immediately excessive exposure to moisture can cause significant issues.
